Projekt #dladziewczynek wkracza w kolejny etap. Na cmentarzu żydowskim w Tarnowie wspólnie z Państwem doprowadziliśmy do historycznej chwili. Instalacja pomnika dedykowanego Racheli i Salomei to wydarzenie przywracające godność i poszanowanie dla pamięci o ofiarach Zagłady. To przykład jak ważne jest podejście indywidualne. Ludzie, nie liczby! Tak często umyka nam indywidualny los poszczególnych ofiar. Zdjęcie wykonane w trakcie prac ma w sobie wielką siłę symbolu, że dobro przy zaangażowaniu ludzi dobrego serca może zwyciężyć zapomnienie. Dotychczasowe miejsce spoczynku pełne bólu, zapomnienia, niezrozumienia zmieni się w miejsce szacunku, godności i pamięci należnej ofiarom naszym dziewczynkom. Nie byłoby to możliwe gdyby nie Inga Marczyńska anioł stróż ziemski dziewczynek oraz Komitet Opieki nad Zabytkami Kultury Żydowskiej w Tarnowie Adam Bartosz, Natalia Gancarz przy współpracy z Fundacja ORLEN oraz rodziny Ludzie, nie liczby czyli wszystkich Państwa wspierających ten projekt. Podglądneliśmy podczas prac artystę rzeźbiarza, wykonawcę pomnika Pana Edwarda Halucha. Dziękujemy za serce, które także Pan włożył w wykonanie tego dzieła. A Państwo już niebawem zobaczą gotowy pomnik, który powstał dzięki Państwu za co bardzo dziękujemy

Our project #dladziewczynek has entered its next stage. We have reached a historic moment at the Jewish cemetery in Tarnów, together with you. The installation of a tombstone commemorating Rachel and Salomea is an event that restores dignity and respect to the memory of these two Holocaust victims. It demonstrates how important it is to approach victims individually, for the individual fates of particular victims often escape our notice. People, not numbers! This photo, taken during the installation work, has a great symbolic power, carrying the message that good, when supported by good-hearted people, can overcome oblivion. Rachel and Salomea will leave their old resting place, full of pain, forgetfulness and incomprehension, and find a new place, one of the respect, dignity and remembrance the girls deserve. All this would not have happened if it hadn’t been for Inga Marczyńska, the girls’ guardian angel, and for the Committee for the Protection of Jewish Heritage in Tarnów, Adam Bartosz, Natalia Gancarz, acting in cooperation with the Orlen Foundation, as well as the People, Not Numbers family, i.e. all of you supporting this project. We took a peek at the sculptor, Mr Edward Haluch, at work on the tombstone. We are grateful for his commitment, as he has put his heart and soul into the project. The headstone will soon be completed and you will be able to see it for yourselves. After all, it has come into existence thanks to you and your support, which we truly appreciate. We will shortly let you know the date of the reburial.
