Pamiętają Państwo historię odnalezienia macewy Herscha Zvi Turnera na jednym z nowotarskich podwórek? Podobnie jak podczas projektu w Czarnym Dunajcu zdecydowaliśmy o ratowaniu nagrobków by przetrwały kolejne dziesięciolecia a wraz z nimi pamięć o żydowskich mieszkańcach. Tym razem nagrobki są odnawiane przez Pana Edwarda Halucha z którym współpracujemy od lat. Niespodziewaliśmy się jednak, że w Nowym Targu uda nam się odszukać kolejne macewy i fragmenty grobów. Tymczasem przybyło już ich kilkadziesiąt. Dlatego musimy działać i planujemy wykonać lapidarium na cmentarzu. Poszukujemy na ten cel środków i zapraszamy Państwa do współpracy. Pokazaliśmy nie raz, że razem możemy zmieniać rzeczywistość wierzę, że podobnie będzie tym razem. Koszt renowacji macewy w zależności od uszkodzeń, materiału, koniecznych prac to przedział 500-1000 złotych. Czy nie warto dla takich efektów jak na zdjęciu?

The history of the discovery of the matzevah
Do you remember the story of the discovery of Hersch Zvi Turner’s matzevah in one of the backyards of Nowy Targ? Just like in our project on the Czarny Dunajec cemetery, we decided to save the tombstones to make them last for many more decades and thus help preserve the memory of the Jewish inhabitants. This time the tombstones are being renovated by Mr Edward Haluch, with whom we have been cooperating for years.
We did not expect, however, that we would be able to find more matzevot and fragments of graves in Nowy Targ, and yet we have been able to recover several dozen more so far. This is why we have to act and are thus planning to create a lapidarium in the cemetery. We are therefore trying to raise funds for this purpose and would greatly appreciate your assistance. We have shown more than once that we can change the reality when acting together, and I believe it will be the same this time. The restoration cost of one matzevah, depending on the damage, the material and the restoration work entailed, ranges from 500 to 1000 zloty. Isn’t it worth the effects shown in the photo?
